I'm an Afrikaans, wandering, beach girl, trying to see more of the world.
I come from Cape Town, South Africa, a place which I love! I am busy with my gap year, figuring out what I'm going to do with my life. Hopefully I'll end up on the ocean, cause thats where my heart belongs.
In summertime I lifeguard at my local beach, however at the moment I am spending my summer in the USA, working at a summer camp.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think it is fantastic to experience a new place with a local feel, rather than just visiting the tourist traps. I feel like Couchsurfing is a great resource for meeting locals and truly experiancing a new place.

It is also a great and safe way of saving money on accommodation.

Interests

I have discovered a love for travelling, so I enjoy anything travel related. I also like learning and experiencing new things. Ofcourse anything beach related will always catch my attention.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy all kinds of music.

I do not read as often as I would like but lately I am enjoying stories about real people, places and things.

I love movies! I have a huge collection at home and I'm always keen to see a new movie or watch a classic.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Coming to America has been quite an amazing experience. I have truly enjoyed learing about a new country and doing different things. It has forced me out of my comfort zone and I have an incredible sense of freedom.

At the moment my living situation is not as such that I will be able to host. However I would love to meet up with people in my area and help them discover the wonderful spots in South Africa, and also enjoy a cup of coffee or a milkshake.
