About Me
Hi everyone,
My name's Máté and I'm from Hungary, currently I'm living in Szombathely and I'm working here as a cultural manager, I organize different art events like exhibitions and festivals.
Previously I studied at Film and Theater University in Budapest, so I'm kind of into arts also.
Since Covid I didn't travel as much as before, but I really would like to start to live the traveler's life again. Usually I volunteer during my trips so I can meet better with the local people and get to know their culture much deeper.
I love to meet with new people from all around the world and get inspiration from their life and stories.
I really believe that our society doesn't work right currently, and our hustle culture and consumer society will change soon. We should value better the nature and real human connections as material things. I really believe that traveling is a way to meet with same kind of mindset people as mine.
Usually I don't like to describe myself, but I think that I'm a open-minded, positive, cheerful person who think that we can achieve anything if we really believe in our dreams.
I started use couchsurfing when I was 18 years old and this community showed me that this alternative way of living and traveling still exists, what i always hoped. Thanks for Couchsurfing I realized that during the travel the meetings and new connections are the most important, because I will bring these memories with myself forever.
MY PHILOSOPHY:
Always be honest with yourself and with others.
"Borders? I've never seen one. But I've heard they exist in the minds of some people."
"I always wonder why birds stay in the same place when they can fly anywhere on the earth. Then I ask myself the same question."
CURRENT MISSION:
Learning things about culture, people, life and about myself. Spiritual growth, be enough brave to live my life on that way as I always wanted since I was a kid. Reading a lot, and learn new skills and languages.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing is definitely more to me as a simple website or mobile app. I think, that Couchsurfing is kind of a community, a life-style. It's not a free hostel it's a fantastic opportunity to meet with the world, new culture, and new people. This site gives me great opportunities to meet so many different kind if people and personality with different cultural backgrounds, I think it is the essence of the life to be open to everyone and meet and build real and deep connections all around the world
Interests
I'm open to learn new things. I love to learn new languages and I would like to learn play music. I just feel I lost the focus from the important things in my life and I was just concentrate to my work and career and make money. I want to see the world again as a child who knows that there are new miracles in every single day, I want to learn to dance and cook new foreign dishes. I hope that I can visit lot of different country in the world, so if you can help on that to me then I will be so so grateful, if not it is totally alright too, I believe if universe wants it then our paths will cross each other one day
