Just finished university and I'm starting PhD. in October. I was very busy with school for the past several years, so I didn't really have much time to travel. Looking to change that now.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It's a great opportunity to meet new people and make new friends regardless of whether you host or stay with someone as a guest. Also a nice way to experience not only the place but the local way of life and culture.

Interests

I'm interested in STEM, mostly mathematics and computer science, which I studied in university. Apart from that I'm really interested in (modern) architecture (nature is great but I really like to go on long walks in the city, sometimes bringing my "toy" Instax camera to take some pictures). I'm also interested in music and I can kinda play three instruments. I like to read (also as a way to learn foreign languages) but these days I haven't got that much time to do so.

I play guitar, piano, and bass so I listen to music centered around these instruments a lot but I like all kinds of music, really.
My favourite books are probably The Man Without Qualities by Robert Musil, Catch 22 by Joseph Heller, and the books by Cormac McCarthy, Fyodor Dostoevsky, Terry Pratchett,...
I don't really watch films that often. My favourites are probably 12 Angry Men and Monty Python and the Holy Grail. The last TV show I've seen and enjoyed was The Bear.
