About Me

Hey ! Boring stuff before :
🏠 When you're looking for accommodation, it would be cool (and polite) to read at least a little of your host's profile, be nice, and not send your 50th total copy paste 🙄 Also,
⚠️send a REQUEST (not a "simple" message) with the dates⚠️.
🗓️ I usually don't accept long stays (I prefer to host between 1 and 3 nights and then we'll see) and please do not send your request too early, it is difficult for me to know what my schedule will be in 2 months. (Nor too late... There is very little chance that I will see and be available for your request if it is the same day.)
⭐ It's okay if you don't have recommendations yet, we all have to start somewhere! ☺️
💫 Looking forward to hearing from you !!

Hello World 👋

I'm living in a nice little flat with my boyfriend Erwan in eastern Paris (close to Vincennes Woods !) since a few years. Before that, I was in the most beautiful region of the world (just that!), Auvergne, where I grew up. I moved to Paris in 2018 for the end of my studies in mathematics and computer science (it's less boring that it seems, I promise) but now I'm graduated and try to be an adult 😌

I'm just like everyone else here : I'm open-minded and I like travelling! But I also love my city and my country and I deeply believe that we don't always have to go very far (nor to fly!) to get out of our habits and make new discoveries. Your own country is surely full of gems! At least, this is the case of France 😄
I mean, Paris is a nice destination for a first trip in France, but have you ever heard about Auvergne ? 🙄 I'm joking, but still, there's so much to see in places you wouldn't think of.

I'm a cheerful and enthusiastic person. I love meeting new people and learning more about them (I told you, I'm like everyone else here) and I'm basically always looking for new things to learn. So I guess that I'm at the right place !

I'm more into diving in the real local life (and discover local gastronomy hehe) than doing touristic stuffs (even if it has its part of fun), that's why I try to meet locals, and that's also why I'd like to make people discover Paris this way ☺️.

I'll try to host you if I think we'll get on well and have a great time together, because I liked your profile. And if I write to you and ask you to host me, it's also because I think that. I'm not hosting or writing to random people here, if we meet, it's because we chose each other 😄

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to meet new people, discover new countries, new cities, and new personalities! Also, I've met people so kind, helpful, generous and attentive that I really want to do the same for others.

I'm not using couchsurfing to save money (when traveling ofc). I mean, it's a cool bonus, but that's not my point when I want to surf a couch. I really want to have a true and meaningful experience with my host/guest. If we can spend 3 entire days together walk all over the city and do a lot of activities together, it's amazing. If we can just have a tea and a nice talk in the living room, and share only one evening, well, it's also amazing. Just, if I'm looking for a host here, it's definitely not to consider it a hostel and I sincerely hope it's the same for people who ask me for accommodation.

Whenever I am the host or the guest, I need to know that I can trust you. And because we probably never met, my only way to know if I can, is by reading your profile (and possibly your message).
If you are sending me a hosting request, please start your message with the flag of your country (or your favourite one!) to let me know that you've read my profile ☺️ 🇫🇷

I receive maaaaany messages, and I prefer to favor people who really have the couchsurfing spirit, and this little flag lets me know which requests to process first. ☺️ I won't automatically refuse someone who hasn't put it, but they just won't be given priority.
And please, also read the "hosting" section if you're asking for accommodation, it's important :)

Interests

I love cultural activities such as cinema, theater, opera, etc.
For some of these, like the opera, I know nothing about and I just like to go and discover (and very often Erwan knows more than me about it because he studied the cultural sector, so he can tell me about it). For others, like cinema, I know a little more, and I like to debate about it.
I also love just having a talk around a drink in a nice bar, or playing board games in the park or at home with tea. I'm also passionate about gastronomy (french is the best in the world 😌) and cooking. It's a real pleasure to cook something for my guests/hosts and share a meal. Of course I also know amazing restaurants in Paris 🤫

Music, Movies, and Books

I have a curse with books : I always lose them before I finish reading them ! But I still can advise you books with a very good start 😬
Update : I think that I have conquered my curse ! I also read some ends now.

I do not listen to a lot of music either (oh wow how boring do I sound hahaha ?) but still, I have a favourite artist, he's French and he's called Woodkid and you should definitely have a look at it ! I also really like old rock like queen, the Beatles, the doors... And my boyfriend forces me to listen to a lot of Jazz (he's a huge fan of jazz, and fan of music in general)!

I love going to the movies, I even have an unlimited subscription for that ! But I cry watching almost every movie 🙄 the last movies that made me cry (and that I loved) were from Thomas Vinterberg (Druk and Jagten) but last year I also loved the musical Annette (Leos Carax). Actually I like a lot of very different movies including horror movies (have you seen Midsommar? Because you need to), drama or even sometimes romantic comedy. There's too much to say about movies ! And you can talk about anything while talking about movies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It's maybe not extraordinary but I have a lot of stories to tell about my hitchhiking travels if you want 😄

What I Can Share with Hosts

My good mood and my conversation ! It would also be a pleasure to cook something for you. I can talk to you about french food but I have to admit that what I cook is more often Italian (my specialty is probably risotto).
I also can try to teach you some french if you're brave!
