We are a couple who have a charity education centre based in Transkei South Africa. We teach English in struggling surrounding schools. We host international volunteers to help with our programme and for company.
A few years ago we gave up our mundane city lives and revamped a camper truck to explore SA. After travelling for 2 years we needed more from this lifestyle of drifting so did a TEFL course and settled here where we have become part of the Xhosa community. We have been given a piece of land and have built /are building our own home.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

Because we are a charity organisation, we dont get a salary and live on a tight budget. We have free time during school holidays and need a change of scenery to meet other interesting people.

Intereses

Teaching takes up all my energy - I enjoy it. We find alternative lifestyles intriguing and have built our own home using google - we made a lot of mistakes. Theo can do poi and has a passion for cooking which hes good at. I like doing crafty things to relax and copy ideas from the internet - googles my friend.

All music with rythym - African drums high on the list. Golden oldies on a Sunday. I read anything I can get my hands on.
