Overview
About Me
30yo, I teach a bunch of university kids which I absolutely love and during some of the many vacations I get there I want to get out of town and do city trips or hiking trips in mountainous areas.
So I live in this place called Geldrop, which is right next to Eindhoven with busses and trains going up and down all the time. I do have a very shitty bike you can borrow if you want to go there Dutch style, or we could take my car instead.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
As I am picking up solo-travel, I could not think of a better way to meet interesting locals that can give me a real taste of their cities, share stories and some beers. I've got two spare bedrooms that I can share with you should you be visiting Eindhoven (area) to do more of the same.
Interests
I am a hiking fanatic, mostly "epic", far and fast long trails in big scenery! Next adventure will be thru-hiking the Sierra High Route in California! In general, I love travel, meeting new people, culture and food!
Music, Movies, and Books
I have a notoriusly bad taste in music, not so much in movies and books though! I am all about 1980s glam rock, but do enjoy other music too, of course.
Movies: I love almost anything by Scorsese, Coen brothers, Christopher Nolan & David Fincher. Books, can be anything although I am not that much of a reader.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Backpacking New Zealand or Cross-Country hiking Spitsbergen, close call
What I Can Share with Hosts
Food, wine and travel stories. A bed of some sort, in case of multiple persons. I have two bed rooms that are currently not being used where you can set up camp. Wheather permitting, we can grill and hang out in the backyard.
