Hi everyone. My name is Valerie Bouchard. I am currently doing my bachelor degree at the University McGill in Political Science and International Development. I really love travel and I believe is my passion. I really love meeting new people, and discovering new cultures, countries, cities, etc. I am open-minded - on a trip around the world - hoping to have a good time with the local people wherever I go.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on Couchsurfing because I already did Couchsurfing in France with my ex-boyfriend and it was an amazing experience. Unfortunately, I didn't have an account at the time so I don't have any reference. However, my ex-boyfriend's name is Steven Amormino and he is still on Couchsurfing. Some of our hosts have left some comments about us on his account. In addition, I am on Couchsurfing because I want to meet new people by hosting them and if I am in another country, I want to be able to meet new people through Couchsurfing.

Interests

I really love outdoor activities such as camping, hiking, snorkeling and swimming. In addition, I love cooking and tasting different types of food from all around the world. As I said earlier, I have a passion of traveling. I also love playing different video games when I'm at home. Most important thing is that I love chilling with my friends.

My favorite movie is Clockwork Orange. I read many books concerning international politics and history. I don't have favorite music because I listen many different types of music from all around the world.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I did a hiking in the Himalayan Mountains in India (Leh Ladakh) in 2014. We climbed the mountains of up to 4900 meters in altitude. This hiking was really challenging, but the landscapes were amazing.
