My name is Bum Ho Kim, and I go by Peter.
I'm from Busan, South Korea, an astonishing city with beautiful beaches.I now live in Eugene, OR, near the University of Oregon campus!

I lived in:
1) Subic, Philippines for 1.5 years.
2) Beijing, China for (on-and-off) 4-5 years.
3) Seattle, WA, USA for 3 years.
4) Eugene, OR, USA for 2 year.
and Busan, South Korea for the rest.

I traveled a lot BUT I know I still have more places to go to! I love meeting new people, learning new culture, and eating different types of cuisines. I identify myself as a third-culture kid; I do not have one or two culture but multiple. My friends think that I'm pretty easy to talk to and funny. I love drinking and partying but if it comes down to it, I can be quiet as well.

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing is the best way to meet the locals and experience different cultures. I want to see the real (non-touristy) side of places I travel to and it's very important to have someone that knows about that place and locals know them best.
Also, I can make friends through couchsurfing. I love having people I know all over the world and it's a great way to talk about our cultural differences and similarities! We can also talk about food, drinks and such as well!

I worked at a microbrewery located in Busan, South Korea; I love beer and going to different countries and trying out their beer is one of the things I like to do when I travel. My favorite styles are IPAs and Sours but who am I kidding, I like to drink everything.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

Right before my senior year high school, we went on an immersion trip to Vietnam. Starting from Ho Chi Minh city, we traveled all over Viet Nam for 2 weeks.
During this trip, we helped to build a shower for the people at the convent, cleaned the houses of the blind affected by the Agent Orange, and painted the orphanage building.
We also traveled a lot: We saw the old dividing line between South and North Viet Nam, the Cu Chi Tunnel, the beautiful Halong Bay, and more!
