About Me

// About me //

I'm Amélia, 19. I study political sciences (which is a big title for many other subjects). I currently live in Moscow for my year abraod.

I love reading, watching movies and I have a passion for new languages. I like the discovery and the learning process.

// Interests //

● Food. I LOVE food in all shapes and sizes. I'm a vegetarian so I don't eat meat nor fish.
I can cook great pasta (basic but a must!), chili, pizza, vegies, and I love baking as well.
● Sports. I play rugby and I love sports, be that running, cycling, swimming, you name it.
● Travel. Kind of obvious, shared by many in this community.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Not only to get but also to give!

I've never hosted anyone but I'm glad to do so as soon as I have the opportunity (and a stable place to stay).

Music, Movies, and Books

//MUSIC//
I love indie/rock/pop and I love discovering new artists.
I also love to listen to classical music while reading and studying.
My favourite artists are Bastille, Rizzle Kicks, Mumford and Sons, as I do like British music.

//BOOKS//
It can be litterature or fiction and fantasy; every book, to me, is worth a read. Favourite book: Balzac et la petite tailleuse chinoise by Dai Sidji and The Aftermath by Ridhian Brook.

// MOVIES//
I'm all about documentaries, and can't get enough of them.
My favourite actor is hands down Mads Mikkelsen.
I also love TV shows and go through them really quickly.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

So far it has been going alone to Germany (Dortmund and Stuttgart) by train and exploring a country I knew little about, on my own, with a language I couldn't, and still can't understand nor speak!

I've also hitchhiked with a friend from Berlin to Hamburg. It has been amazing and I've met a great deal of amazing people along the way. I even got to learn a bit of German!

Teach, Learn, Share

//TEACH//
I can play the ukulele and I can teach a bit of French.
I can teach you how to make pasta, though it's pretty easy. But what can you teach me?

//SHARE //
I can share opinions and political views and offer great debate, as I love to get different points of view on different topics. I can also share some tips I collected while travelling.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my humour, my passion for photographs, my love for museums. I can also share my next adventures and keep in touch. I love postcards, especially sending them, so be sure that if you host me, you'll still have news if you want some. I'm all about finding new people and not just sharing their place, even though it's a good start.

Countries I’ve Visited
