About Me

I'm a 23 years old, small but dynamic French girl that really enjoys travelling and talking to people face to face. I tend to live "on the edge" and am a big fan of last-minute plans. Even if it can be quite stressful, I think I like spontaneity more and It gave me the ability to improvise in most situations ;)
I like to do many things really, going from playing soccer with my little brother togoing to concerts, fencing or playing the piano/ whatever instrument.
I also like video making a lot and consider working in video journalism later.
But enough talking about me, let's talk about why we're all here!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To exchange with people from a broad range of cultures and ages. I pretty much agree with Alan Alda on the fact that "Listening is being able to be changed by the other person" and really think you learn more by being able to dialogue with everyone.

I'm moreover convinced that living the life of a "local" for a few days can only give you the best overview and insight on the way people of this given country live and can lead to wonderful friendships shaped by differences and complementarity.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was 19, I went to Israel and Palestine to learn more about the refugee crisis over there. It really changed my vision of travelling and made me want to discover more about the hidden issues of each society, more than just go sightseeing without really thinking.

It pushed me to try travelling by myself and the following year, I went to Cuba alone for a month with a grant for young travelers, to “study” afro-cuban religious syncretisms. It was awesome (and creepy sometimes: I have good stories about strange rituals involving me walking on fire haha) and made me fall in love with Latin America!

I've travelled with friends or my gf before but it made me realize I 100% prefer travelling by myself (good thing I got dumped hahaha), you meet way more people and really get to live the full experience this way! :D

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you the basics of piano, how to make good crepes or pancakes, tell you about the French culture and even dance salsa with you (or well...try).

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm confortable with talking about me or what I like but I'm also and mainly a good listener, and would really like to listen about all your life stories and help you with anything you need help with ;)
