About Me

I am a gratuaded teacher of kindergarten. During the last year of my study I had been fortunate to do an intership in Tanzania. Teaching 70 children at the same time in Swahili, was one of the most difficult challenges I ever faced. But at the same time I had never felt so satisfied. This experience in Tanzania really was an eye opener for me in so many ways that I got so inspired to know more about education all around the world. So last year in September I already went to UK for two weeks also by using CS. My next destination will be a Norway, to learn more about 'the outdoor school education'.

As a person I don't wanna describe myself to much because I believe we are almost all here for the same reason, our at least some of them: to expand our horizons, getting out of our comfortzone, to feel comfortable by travelling ( almost always) alone, to learn more about different cultures and people, enjoying our time surrounded by people who we feel contacted with even if we never saw them before,...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because you get in touch with people all around the world. The (most) people on couchsurfing are people with right intentions, who are really open-minded and already travelled a lot. So I am very excited to learn more about their experiences.

Music, Movies, and Books

movies: the greatest showman, gifted, lion, the king's speech, intouchables, creed, call me by your name, the hate you give, the Blind side, like stars on earth, ...
music: big fan of all kinds of tropical house, African music, hits of the 90's
books: not really into reading to be honest

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

not really amazing, but something to remember for te rest of my life:
when I was 6 years old, my family and I were stuck with our car on Fraser Island ( Island near the coast of Australia) while we were seriously running out of water and food. We had to sleep for one night in our car. The next day we had to search for water, food and most importantly people who could rescue us! For our own safty my parents didn't told us back then there where dingo's ( pretty dangerous dogs) all over the island.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can tell you all about my passion for( slow) traveling, being out in nature, teaching/ taking care of kids,...
.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I actually didn't want to mention it, because for me it is very obviously and it is the least you can to when someone opens up his/her room, appartement or house for you. But I think it is also your responsiblity to tidy up the place a little bit, doing the dishes and prepare a meal. Maybe not in a very ' housecleaner way' ;) but just to show greatfulness and respect for the person who invited you.
