I am 24 years old. I am currently on holiday for a few months in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, visiting my fiance. Since I cannot work here, I am writing a travel memoir and studying for the GRE. Upon my return to Michigan in July, I begin a job at the University of Michigan as a media assistant for the School of Natural Resources and the Environment, where I hope to eventually pursue a Masters degree in Behavior, Education and Communications in the Environment. I have traveled a lot and work for several domestic and international NGOs across the globe. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Michigan State University.

My fiance Ganesh currently works for Tata Consultancy Services as a billing and services consultant in Chennai. He studied in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India for a business administration degree. He will join me in Michigan hopefully in a 1.5-2 years.

My hope for a future career is to develop horticulture therapy programs for children that experienced the loss of a loved one, especially parents or siblings, and use organic farming/gardening practices as a way to cope with death.
