About Me

***UPDATE: I just moved to a new flat and travelling a lot in summer - not that flexible to host someone at this time***

Hi, I am Dovi :) originally from Lithuania, currently studying in Austria and enjoying life by traveling everywhere around. Don't like to introduce myself with titles, because we are all quite complex creatures, but if "about me" section requires so, I can just shortly say that I feel myself as a adventurous dreamy person, who enjoys morning coffee and evening wine conversations :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My old description said "The reason why I’m on Couchsurfing is that I like to travel a lot and also, I have a dream to try hitchhiking in Europe (hopefully, this dream will come true this summer!). "

Short update - it happened already in summer 2016! And it was one of the best adventures I've ever had :) Moreover, I still continue my backpacking & hitchhiking journeys, but this time alone. Therefore, I am more flexible and really would like to meet up with locals, share experiences, get to know about your culture and cool spots in the city we will meet :)

Interests

I am a big concert fan and passionate about writing! There are so many things in my fantasy which I wish to fulfill and reflect, so I’m trying to write them down on paper. So it can be, that you'll see me with a notebook quite often scetching/talking to passengers in the streets or bars.

Music, Movies, and Books

Speaking about music, I like various type of it but mostly alternative/stonner rock, accoustics . My favourite music groups: Alice in chains, Mad Season, Cigarettes After Sex, Queens of the Stone Age, Kyuss, Depeche Mode, Acid Bath, Nothing, Deftones, The Velvet Underground, Tom Waits, Pixies, Arcade Fire, Soundgarden, Dot Hacker, RHCP, Apocalyptica, 1000mods, Maybeshewill, Get Your Gun, even Rammstein (maybe not the best example, but that's how I started learning german...).

Movies: from dramas and crazy comedies. Into the Wild, American Psycho, A Clockwork Orange, Just Before I Go, Liusi, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Dallas Buyers Club, 127 Hours, Interstate 60, God Bless America, The Invisible, Limitless, Keith, Barfuss, Donnie Darko, American Beauty, Fight Club.

Talking about books, they usually are about traveling, philosophy or medicine. Hermann Hesse – Steppenwolf, Laurent Gounelle – The Man Who Wanted to Be Happy and Jostein Gaarder – Sofies World, Eckhart Tolle - The Power of Now.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Just one? It’s a hard task to distinguish only one, which is the most important, because I’ve done quite plenty of them and in fact, I think that they all are quite amazing in their own way :)
Maybe jumping in crowd of people and “swimming” on their hands in Devilstone festival,
or hithhiking in Europe and living in a tent or nice coachsurfing host's places for 3 weeks,
or leaving my job and moving to Spain for a few months and getting inspired again.
