Hello!

My name is Enes (Pronounced "Dennis," but without the "D"), and I'm about to embark on a trip around the world.

Currently working in Boulder, Colorado, USA, I have decided to leave my career for a full year as I go on the adventure of a lifetime. My journey will be taking me through South America, then Africa, Australia, Asia, and finally Europe on my way back home to the United States.

During this trip, I hope to make new friends and unforgettable memories while also learning a bit more about myself. My goal is to gain some perspective on other cultures, while also building bridges of understanding between all of the people I encounter across the world.

If you could be so kind as to lend your home to me for a portion of my stay, I promise to show your gesture the utmost respect. I know that 2017 is about to be incredible, and hope that I get the opportunity to share part of it with you.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I recently got out of a long relationship, and have felt a little lost. I decided that during this natural break in my life, it would be the perfect opportunity to follow a passion of mine. This may sound like a cliche, but I decided that a trip around the world would be one way for me to go "find myself."

Interests

-I really enjoy making videos with my Gopro.
-I'm an avid mixed martial artist, and hold a black belt in Kajukenbo.
-In college I was an NCWA Wrestling All-American, placing sixth in the nation.
-I've already traveled to 11 countries, and hope to add 30 more on this trip.
-I enjoy cooking, and would love to learn a new recipe from you!
-Hearing the history behind a site is as important to me as visiting the site.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I can listen to pretty much anything and appreciate it. Personally, I'm leaning towards more electronic, hip hop, and alternative music; but have been know to listen to country music from time to time as well.

Movie: I have got to say that the Lord of the Rings movies were my favorite of all time.

Book: My favorite book has got to be "The Giver" by Lois Lowry. The imagery the author uses puts you right in the middle of everything. If you haven't already, it's a must read :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I recently solo-traveled for the first time; during a trip to New Zealand back in June. On that journey, I was able to go bungy jumping, fire dancing, and more. It was a really freeing moment for me, to know that I was able to go out by myself and truly be in my element. It was then that I decided a trip around the world could be even more of an adventure.

Teach, Learn, Share

-As stated before, I'm a martial artist, and was once an instructor. I would be more than happy to give you a karate or self defense class!

-I'm also a digital marketing specialist, and can give you tips on increasing your own success online.

-If you like to cook, maybe I could teach you one of my favorite dishes, in return for learning one of yours?

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share anything with my hosts. Happy to talk about my background, add new friends on Facebook, etc. I'm really extroverted, and just enjoy meeting new people and sharing an experience with them.
