About Me
Hello! I am a Dutch neuroscientist living in Germany, currently finding my way in the world of academic research. I love research, including its highs and (very very) lows. It teaches one a good lesson about perseverance. I am calm by nature, but I love good company. In my free time I enjoy cooking, singing and hiking. Last year I also discovered yoga, which has also taught me a lot about perseverance (and has made me fit, bonus!). I also love dancing, I take urban dance classes for the fun of it.
Basically my goal in life is to push my boundaries when I can, even though I am scared shitless along the way... But I still can't watch horror movies.

Music, Movies, and Books
My favourite movie ( it's probably a bit of a cliche here on the website) is Into the Wild. It has stayed with me from the moment I saw it in the theatre with my mom years ago and I still find it so inspiring.
My favourite author is Haruki Murakami. I don't read a lot these days even though I like doing it, when I have a copy of one of his works I put everything else aside.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Living and moving abroad to do internships in Calgary, Canada and San Francisco, USA and now working in Munich, Germany.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love to learn and talk about food and cooking! I could teach you some yoga moves and nothing would make me happier than to sing a harmony.
