About Me

My name is Juan Ignacio, I’m a 27-year-old Argentinian guy but I don´t care much for the concept of nationalities, I think everyone belongs to the whole world. I am very sociable, I love making friends, learning about their cultures. I have always had a great relationship with kids. When I was fifteen years old, I used to work with kids by animating their birthday parties. When I turned 18 I started working in a bank. On my holidays in the year 2012, I wanted to make something different out of them, so I went to a nature area and I spent my days in a handmade adobe hostel. The experience was amazing and since then I’m very interested in natural constructions. Later on, I took a workshop on natural handmade constructions. It was called "Bioconstruyendo 2013". We were 300 people from different nationalities and we lived together, learning different techniques of sustainable construction and vegetable gardening. With my new knowledge, I decided to live in Chapadmalal, a very small town 23 Km from Mar del Plata, Buenos Aires, where I developed my knowledge and skills in such matters. Some Friends and I found an abandoned house which we remodelled, decorated and made it habitable again, I also started growing my own food. I love working in social activities. I am part of "Nada es imposible" a NGO from Mar del Plata, Buenos Aires. These days my house is being used for different workshops aimed to kids and I’m living in Barcelona, since I’m a good cook and I have commercial skills, I’m cooking very tasty "empanadas", a traditional Argentinian meal, that I sell in parks or in the beach, where I’ve also met the local people and I am learning from their lifestyles. This last experience has given me the possibility be in contact with the English language, as I am in constant contact with tourists and I definitely want to continue learning and visiting new places.
