My name is Marie and I'm a 21-year-old university student from Germany.
I will be studying at Northumbria university in Newcastle from September to December and am planning a trip around Scotland before. I will be accompanied by a close friend of mine, Yolanda, who also studies English at the same university as I.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on couchsurfing because this will be a totally new experience for me :) I am pretty sure that you'll get a different insight into the country you're visiting of you spent your time with people who really know the place.

Interests

I'm really the music type more than the sporty type. I really enjoy playing the clarinet in my orchestra and also really like dancing (standard and zumba)

Music, Movies, and Books

Both Yolanda and I love dancing and don't really have much time to read during university. So the books we spend most of our time with are Shakespeare and his fellow poets :D
We do like movies. Especially drama and comedy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing thing I've ever done was going to new Zealand for half a year as an exchange student.
