Hi, we are Bert and Myriam, living near Kortrijk in a beautiful green and quiet village, we are 63 and 58 years young. We don't work anymore so we have time to volunteer in the nursing home and an animal shelter because we love people and animals. Bert likes gardening, he grows fruits and vegetables organically and I like to prepare a nice meal with it and enjoy it with friends. We are active in several community organisations. And several times a year, we need to break out and travel, explore new places, ancient villages, meet new people...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like to meet people from all over the world, compare and share our way of life and interests. We hosted exchange students from different countries until our son moved to his own place. Recently he told us about couch surfing, and his experiences with his guests, so now we're excited to host travelers, and maybe one day we will be happy to be invited to stay on someone's coach as well....

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

last year, we went down into the gorge of Masca in Tenerife and when we reached the sea, we returned by boat and suddenly we were joined by 6 or 7 dolphins. This exprerience, I will never forget, waw....
