About Me

Easygoing German, adjusting to the no-worries-lifestyle of Australia, including accepting the fact that probably everything can kill you here but hopefully nothing will. I have not seen many kangaroos yet, but I did try kangaroo & emu Pizza...

I moved to Australia beginning of 2016 on a sponsored visa and have since come to enjoy the Bondi life. I'm passionate about meeting new people from different cultures, preferrably at a cool bar or pub that I haven't been to yet.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have been travelling on a budget myself and I know it can be hard to find cheap accomodation in Sydney. Plus locals know the cool places to go to ;-)

Being new to the community, we do not host guests yet, so for now I can be your local guide and hopefully in the future also a host as we have a free couch here.

Interests

I absolutely love to cook but stupidly dance & sing along to music while doing so. Afterwards you'll find me eating way too much of it while reading a book or watching Netflix. On a weekend you will often find me going out with friends to explore new and hidden places that Sydney has to offer, probably on Oxford St or in Surry Hills.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to almost every style of music, with a particular taste for bands that mix styles in uniqe and new ways, both in German and English.

Couchsurfing likely has a limit on the size of this textbox so I can not even begin to list all the good books and movies worth reading/seeing. Dare raise this topic and I'll talk your ear of though. I read different styles of books but in the end I come always back to fantasy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I sold almost everything I owned, packed my bags and switched hemispheres, starting a completely new life in a different country. This still going on and I expect it to continue for quite a while - Sydney is pretty nice.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you a lot about computers, if you actually want to hear that. I could also try to teach you German or how to say Cheers & Thank You in about 15 different languages. If you haven't already learned the Australian slang I can provide a unique European perspective on it ;-)

If I could pick anything to learn it would be learning how to play guitar & sing. I'm also interested in dancing, currently learning Salsa. Anything music, really.
