Meet and stay with locals while traveling. Its a great enrichement! It's such inspiring to understand someones perspectives on various topics. The differences of people let myself think more about the matter of what we are then the idea of who we are. What are we actually doing here? Whatever, I think its important to keep interaction equivalent.
