I'm a student from Amsterdam and I am currently studying geography and planning at the University of Amsterdam. I really love travelling and have done it a lot last years (although I've never been outside of Europe haha). I see myself as a easy-going guy who can adapt easily to new people and new environments.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Hi there!

After the summer I will go on Erasmus exchange to Barcelona. I'm very excited to go there and to meet new people and discover and experencience a whole different culture. From September the 5th I will follow classes at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. The classes will be given in Catalan. At the moment I'm busy learning Catalan and I am very eager to master the language! Right now, I'm studying at home, here in the Netherlands, but it would be awesome and probably more effective to master the Catalan language in Barcelona just before the beginning of the semester. Therefore, I'm looking for someone or people who would like to give me shelter for a few weeks and, if you speak the language, help me becoming a confident speaker of the language. By helping, I do not mean full-time teaching or something. Having some conversations in Catalan and correcting my pronunciation a bit from time to time would be great! But it won't be a problem if you don't speak the language. I would very much like to just hang out and having conversations (in English probably) anyway. The main thing is, that I think it is important for me to be accustomed to the Catalan language and culture by living in an area surounded with people who speak the language and whom I can interact.
