Hi there!
My name is Anja and I'm from Munich in Germany, servus! Last year I wrote my A-levels and from that time I've been working, making internships and traveling around to visit some friends and to make new ones.
My plan for next year is to start studying something with design or literature, like communication design. But before going to university I wanted to see a bit more of the world first, meeting new people and cultures, living a little adventure in some ways ;) . As I love speaking English and French and being outside in nature, I thought it would be great to go to Canada, to the province of Quebec, where I'm going to work in a hostel for the first month of my stay. I didn't make any plans for the time afterwards ans I'm so excited about seeing where the circumstances will take me.
In general I'm a very communicative and family person. I love making new friends, traveling together and having good and deep conversations. I also enjoy working and being with children, at the moment I'm making a French-German youth leader training for working in summer camps (BAFA-Juleica). My family is full of architects and I'm a huge fan of photography, drawing and fashion.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

In my opinion Couchsurfing is the best way to meet another country's culture. In no other way you will see so truly how people from other nations live. I love this concept of give and take, to share one's apartment or house with someone you have never met in order to share your place with someone strange someday. This way of trust on both sides and this hospitality is so great and important, especially nowadays, I think. It's one of the best ways to connect the world without thinking about profit and money. I'm really looking forward to meeting great people.

Música, películas y libros

In general I'm a huge fan of classics. My favorite times of music, movies and fashion are the 50s - 70s. I love British bands from there like the Beatles (John Lennon!), the Stones, Queen or David Bowie, but I also absolutely adore Elvis, Bob Dylan, Cat Stevens and the sweet tunes of Simon&Garfunkel or Joan Baez.
I really enjoy watching black&white movies with Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn, Cary Grant, Jack Lemmon, Grace Kelly, Ingrid Bergman, Gregory Peck and most of the Hitchcock movies. Plus I'm a great Star Wars fan (Episode IV - VI) and I love Harry Potter.
Concerning books it's the same about classics. I love poems, especially written by Goethe and Shakespeare. My favorite authors are Oscar Wilde, Jane Austen and Alexandre Dumas. I love stories about adventures, crime and love and I adore Sherlock Holmes.
