About Me
Hi, I am Elisa, currently living in Brazil. I am a PhD candidate in Sociology. Among many other things, I like movies, board games, vegetarian cooking, art museums, yoga, reading literature, history and social theory and traveling.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
One of my main motivations to travel and couchsurf is to get in touch with other cultures and get to know interesting people. I believe that getting to know places through local people it's a great opportunity to get in touch with the traditions, habits, food, history and other elements of the places that you are visiting.

Music, Movies, and Books
Right now I am halfway through War and Peace and it's great!
The last movie I saw was The Stage of Things, a 1982 Wim Wenders, which is a black and white movie about making movies set in Portugal and L.A.
The last concert I've been was a half Béla Bartók, half Richard Wagner and I plan to see the Wagner tv series in the next weeks.
Teach, Learn, Share
As a sociologist that studies contemporary Brazil I may be able to share some thought about my country and I will be very interested in getting to know stories about your life, culture, city and nation. I could teach some Portuguese, show you some Brazilian music and even make some of our food specialities.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I like very much to cook so if you like I could help by preparing dinner, deserts and tea. Also willing to follow your recommendations on nice places to visit and will be happy if you decide to join me in some tours.
