My name is John Santa Ana. I'm half Filipino and half white, born and raised in Los Angeles. I haven't cut my dreadlocks in 9 years, so it's easy to spot me.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Never did it before. My cousin and I met some fellow backpackers in Batad Philippines who highly recommended it if we want gain deeper understanding of the surrounding culture.
Interests
Surfing, skateboarding, boxing, jiu jitzu, motorcycles, reading, and drinking tea.

Jazz and hip hop (I have a crush on Lauryn Hill. Snuck into her concert once).
Anything with Denzel Washington or directed by Wes Anderson (hopefully one day they'll collaborate).

I studied theology at Biola University. Philosophy and religion are my favorite things to discuss. This upcoming September I will be entering a Benedictine Monastery.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am well trained in martial arts, and have an affinity for extreme sports. I would love to share my knowledge and experience by teaching anyone who is willing to learn. I always keep my skateboard on me!
