About Me

Hi guys! I’m Julie, a creative, overthinking, truthseeking, travel-loving 21 year old from the cold north - or Denmark to be more precise. I’m currently backpacking with a friend in Southeast Asia, enjoying my second gap year and just exploring awesome parts of the world and myself.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’ve been wanting to try couchsurfing for a while, and now that I’m traveling solo for the first time, I thought I might just have the perfect chance to finally try it out.
I think it’s a very cool concept, since it combines free accommodation with meeting new people and visiting local homes. I mean: is there any better combination for travelers??

Interests

I’m interested in anything that makes me feel something real and honest, pure feelings, pure passion, all love. So cheesy, I know right? But so good.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have a very wide taste, but I sure do listen to indie, folk and soul an unhealthy amount now that I think about it... but gangster rap never hurt my ears either. When it comes to movies and books I dig anything that is well-directed/written, makes me feel something real, gets under my skin, inspires me and feeds my mind.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Slept on a beach inside worlds 3rd largest cave Hàng En in Vietnam.

Teach, Learn, Share

After some glasses of wine I’ll usually be very happy to teach you some basic salsa steps. If you can teach me to shuffle cards the cool way in exchange, that’d be such a great deal.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A taste of the danish cuisine (frikadeller and smørrebrød if you’d like?), movie and tv-show binge watching, teaching of danish swear words, a hand poked tattoo, great talks and travel stories.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Croatia, France, Germany, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Nepal, Northern Ireland, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Thailand, United Kingdom, Viet Nam
