About Me

Hi! I'm a Couchsurfing-newby but I would love to travel around the world and meet incredible people along the way. I'm studying Criminology at Leiden University at the moment. Besides that, I row and enjoy life with my friends. I am originally from Rotterdam, where my parents still live. I love Rotterdam so much due to its multi-cultered population and modern look. Golden tip: go to Biergarten, it's only a 5 minute walk from the Central Station. Now, I study Criminology at Leiden University and that is why I live on my own in Leiden. I have 15 roommates (which is a normal thing in Leiden, huge "student houses") and we are a very close group just living our lives together. Together with them and all the people around me, I am living the good life with a positive mindset.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Staying with locals seems to me the very best way to explore a new country. Especially because I'll be Interrailing in the summer of 2017 and Couchsurfing is the best way possible to really experience new places. Through Couchsurfing I can easily meet new people and taste the true vibe of a place.

Interests

  • skiing
  • rowing
  • chilling
  • adrenaline
  • netflix
  • good beer

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite music cannot fit within one category, because I love AC/DC but I'm also a sucker for Opera, Ballet and Philharmonic Orchestras. And because skiing is one of the best things in life, I can really enjoy some good apres-ski music. My Netflix-favorites are The Walking Dead and How I Met Your Mother and of course I watch Game of Thrones as well.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was 16 years old, I've visited an orphanage/school for deaf children in Armenia for about 8 days. We really bounded with those kids, help out around the school and visited the rest of the country. The trip really opened my eyes about how lucky I am and how I want to live my life.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My love for discussing any topic and exchanging stories about life. I'm a very positive and happy person and I would love to meet new people.
