About Me
I'm 24 and a sports science student in Konstanz, Germany. I'm outgoing, open minded and always on the run. You won't find me home a lot, but mostly meeting up with friends, enjoying the lovely beaches in San Diego and especially doing all kind of sports all day everyday. I don't have a favorite kind of sports that I'm unbeatable in, but I tried a lot of different sports and found myself enjoying volleyball (beachvolleyball even more), climbing/bouldering, gymnastics and dancing a lot. I did sports acrobatics for over 10 years and coached the beginners in our team (5-12 year olds) after I had to quit my career as an athlete.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I came to the states in August 2016 to start my study abroad at the San Diego State University, that was actually the reason I joined the couchsurfing community. I heard about couchsurfing before but never used it until I started traveling some places here in the states. Traveling is not only about exploring new places but as well about meeting new people, making friends all over the world. I'm glad that I already met a lot of great people during different trips in already 9 different states. People that hosted me as well as other surfers staying at the same time with the same host. I love to check out places with local people, because they are the ones who really know the place and all of the amazing hidden spots and you're also never alone. You can pack your things and leave somewhere on your own, but staying with a host makes you meeting a person and spending time with someone.
I didn't host so far, just because it's not your own decision when you're sharing a room like I do and if you don't have a couch to offer. Unfortunately.
But since I moved I hopefully be able to do so (depending on my new roommates opinion towards couchsurfing). I hope to get to chance to show you this great place called San Diego, that I started to call my home as well as my lovely city back in Germany after saying goodbye to California.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
12-days roadtrip through Arizona, Utah, Colorado and New Mexico. Spend 9 of 12 nights in my car in places that were literally somewhere in nowhere. The trip was completely spontaneous because we changed our trip plan everyday and chose our next destination often just the night before we went. Especially Colorado was amazing!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm an outgoing, open minded person. Spending time with me can include never ending conversations, sharing great stories (hopefully not just me talking), laughs, fun and if you like being active as much as I do I'm always up to some beachvolleyball, hiking, climbing or bouldering.
