About Me

Hello!
My name is Cecilia, and together with Jens I will be hitch hiking through East Europe from the 29th of August to the 11th ofJuly. Our destination goals are Krakow, Tatra Mountains in Slovakia and Vienna, all though we are open for new travel advices.

We are two friends who know each other from Egmont Højskolen (Egmont Folk School). At Egmont we were students while we were working for people with disabilities or special needs. We had classes like Outdoor, Kayaking and Sailing. We are two open minded Danes who loves to meet new people.
We like to exchange travel experiences and to talk about all the big questions in life but also all the small ones.

Jens:
I just finished my second gap year, and in September I will start studying Sports at Aarhus University. I would like to teach sports in High School or university level. In my two gap years I did my military services, worked at Egmont and I've been sailing in Indonesia. I did a lot of diving and kayaking. As a person I am very active, and I like to spend time with my friends doing things like Frisbee golf, petanque or chess.

Cecilia:
I am always ready for new adventures and always ready to meet new people and new cultures.
Like Jens I had two gap years. I have been traveling in Asia where I was sailing and did a lot of diving. I have also been backpacking around Australia and worked in New Zealand on a Working Holiday Visa. In New Zealand I've worked in Queenstown, where I was a waitress for one month and a housekeeper for about five months. On our days off we went skiing and hiking in the mountains.

Back home I am studying Science of Education in the University of Aarhus and I will start my 3rd semester after the summer. I spend a lot of time with the people I care about. Also I do work to save up money for upcoming adventures. I have a big interest in the ocean, I love sailing and did rowing in High School. As a person I am very open minded towards new things and believing the best in other humans. I am social and positive and not afraid of trying new things.
