I have spent the large part of my last couple of years in Prague studying medschool. Coming into a large city all of a sudden and going to university was a big eye opener for me. I like to think I'm open minded. I'm a thorough student, usually get good grades and go to exams feeling like I understand the topic, and think I'm responsable when it comes to other duties. No matter how hard I try I've always been a bit shy and reserved, especially around strangers, but I do my best to fight it off. I also like my quiet from time to time. On the other hand, I can shake this all off and get comfortable with anyone when I get in the zone (also alcohol helps, duh).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Well I feel like I've overslept on life and all this traveling around Europe as some of my friends do. I really want to go and meet people from other countries and experince what they are like. I'd like to go study abroad in a year or two and probably even work abroad for a while. Other countries and their people appeal to me and I have yet to discover them!

Music, Movies, and Books

I grew up listening to my dads 70's collection so I'm a child of art rock. Some of the trademark names here include Pink Floyd, Yes, Genesis, Jethro Tull, Led Zeppelin and so on. Of the contemporary music I haven't really given a chance to much, but there is some, for instance I love Björk. Also we have listened trough a lot of classical music with my campus roomie. Never leave the house without my mp3 and a headset! I'm basicly an addict
Concerning books, my most beloved author is probably Tolkien, and as a kid/teenager I really fell for the whole fantasy thing. But I still read stuff for school and those turned out to be some real amazing books, such as The Little Prince, The Old Man and the Sea, The Master and Margarita, etc.
I do love those old sitcoms, Black books being the favorite. And of course I like nice movies as much as the next guy. Famous franchises like The Matrix, The Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Harry Potter, etc. As for a favorite director, that would have to be Tarantino, Pulp Fiction being possibly my most favorite film of all time!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once spent a couple of days in a monastery of Trappists, who work for the most part of the day and barely ever speak to each other. It changed my life. I never felt so calm and attuned to God again.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my passion for music, as I am not only a keen listener but even keener singer and guitar player. That's probably the most interesting thing I can pull off. I'm pretty good though!
Also I've got 3 years of medical school behind me so far, and I that leaves you a bit proffesionally deformed. So free health care for everyone!
Sadly, I'm not much of a cook, and I never really cared for traditional Czech cuisine. But I'd be sure to share some of the brilliant Czech beveragery (I'm sure that's a word).
