Born and bred in Sydney, Australia and of Chinese heritage.. I am currently travelling around SE Asia hoping to work and volunteer on organic farms to gain inspiration and knowledge about how to bring more sustainable practices into the urban environment and into our modern lives.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love the personal experience that couch surfing brings from meeting people and sharing local knowledge and cultures. I would love to gain more than the usual tourist experience and just enjoy the company of others! I also love to show positive people my hometown city of Sydney and Australia in general as there is much more to appreciate than the landmarks and monuments.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love hearing new music tastes of others but usually listen to rock, folk, pop and old classics from the 60s and 70s. Bob Dylan, Paul Simon, David Bowie, Yeah Yeah Yeahs are some of my faves. I generally like non-fiction books and documentary or historical drama movies. Love all quality cinema though and would like to see more international foreign films.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Stayed on a remote Island research station in the Great Barrier Reef whilst undertaking my Marine Science degree. Snorkelling in pristine waters with sharks and turtles and millions of tiny costumes and fish!

Teach, Learn, Share

My greatest skill to share is probably in food. I love to grow, buy, cook and share seasonal and local produce and dabble in a of cuisines including Italian, French, Chinese, Middle Eastern, Indian. Australian food culture is extremely diverse and draws on many cultures which I adore. I love to cook vegetables and seafood, as well as meats though I try to limit my consumption of beef and red meats. I have also trained as a French pastry chef so love to share my knowledge of desserts and bread and pastry.
I love to share music and can play a few simple chords well enough for a casual sing-along!
I am open and eager to learn as much as I can about anything at all!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am a considerate and respectful guest and am more than happy to help out with chores etc. Also happy to cook and share if you like. I appreciate honest communication so don't hesitate to be honest and open with anything you may require/expect! I am also very easy going and like to take each day as it comes, with diverse interests so I am up for experiencing most things!
