I spent four months living in New Delhi for a student exchange and then backpacked in a completely rural and untouched part of northern India, near Tibet with a group of people I didn't know. We didn't have running water or electricity for weeks and woke up with the sunrise and slept with a sky full of stars. We were the only tourists in these towns. It was one of the happiest times of my life.
