About Me

Hey peeps,
my name is Nayaret but since I started traveling I found out that Nay is easier for everyone!
I am from Barcelona, but since 2017 I've been traveling and also living for 2 years in Australia.
I am a smiley and curious person, always willing to do something (if you see me chilling it's probably because I am tired haha). I love nature, from the mountains to the ocean. I enjoy being outdoors and exploring new areas. I really like hiking, scuba-diving, volleyball, snorkelling, playing the ukelele and spending some quality time with my mates.
As my love for nature increases every day, my self-consciousness about how much we have to take care of it in order to preserve it too. That is why day by day I try avoid single use plastics, recylcle as much as I can, sometimes go in a mission and pick up rubbish from the ground; and I have been following a vegetarian diet for the last two years for many reasons, but one of them is to protect the environment and natural resources.
I am happy to join this community in order to meet new people, get to know their culture and where they live; and of course to enjoy the experience itself!
I have studied Physiotherapy back home, but I have years of experience in hospitality too.
I considere myself a dynamic, hard worker and responsible person when it comes to work. But I am also funny, open minded, full of energy and always willing to learn something new!
Can't wait to jump in whatever adventure comes next!!
Nay

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I don't think traveling is just visiting a place within a schedule. It's way more, it's meeting new people with amazing stories behind, getting to know the place in another level, discovering local places you'd have missed trsvellimg with a tour... That is why CS, and also volunteering, are one of my choices when I decide to travel somewhere new for me.

Music, Movies, and Books

I can listen to every kind of music. It depends on my mood, but it goes from reggae, to rock, to trance and psy trance, to electrònic and house, to Latin music, to Spanish music like "flamenco" and "rumba", to indie...
About flims, I really like action and comedy-romantic movies.
I also like reading fantasy, thriller, spiritual and self-growth books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Stepping outside my confort zone!!
But skydiving has a place in here too... loved it!
But the latest it's been swimming with a Humpback whale, it was such a special interaction.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach Spanish and Catalan language if you'd be interested, or at least a few words!! I can also share some cultural stuff like food, celebrations, etc.
I can teach some volleyball touches, how to do a head-stand, play circus stuff like POIS, DAPO...

I'd love to learn more songs with my ukelele, and I wouldn't mind to get introduced to the djembe!

I always think that sharing food is something everyone would be able to do, as humans that wanna share more than just food, but the experience of gathering together and sharing moments, stories, food recipes...

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook typical Spanish and Catalan dishes. I can help u out with Spanish and Catalan lenguaje. And of course share adventures and travells!
I'm an easy going person, so everything that's related to go outdoors and do something, it's a YES from my side.
But I also understand that everyone needs its own space, including myself, so I don't expect my hosts "taking care" of me all day long haha I mean it in a good way, like I'm none's respomsability but my own(:
