About Me

Hi there! A bit of my background story - I've only graduated from a university last year and after having lived, studied and worked in London for over 5 years, I have travelled and lived in South East Asia for almost a year since last September (Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia and Thailand).

Currently I'm back home in Poland for a month-long break before moving to Australia to get a job for a few months before starting a Master's degree in Environment and Sustainability in Melbourne. I might have a stop somewhere in Asia on the way to the land of kangaroos and would love to stay with some locals if I get the chance.

It's probably what anyone would say but I guess it's just a common feature for many people - I've been told I'm super friendly, open-minded and that I have super powers to spread cheerfulness around me (I really hope this one is true). From my own perspective, I just try to be grateful for everything I receive from all the people I meet and the situations I encounter, even though sometimes it can be hard work haha!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Music, Movies, and Books

Books - Polish writer Witold Gobrowicz is my idol! Also, I'm a proper bookworm (or simply put, a nerd) and will read anything you give me.

Music - I seriously can listen to most kinds and try to find something great about any. But mostly something like indie, rock, electronic and reggae. Never slow pop ballads - the only kind of music I probably cannot stand haha.
I should also probably mention that I recently took up ukulele and am currently trying to learn No Woman No Cry by Bob Marley, but will not make you listen to it unless you ask so no worries haha.

Movies - love watching old romantic comedies on a silly Polish telly at my mum's, with my dear mum, and would be happy to do replicate the experience in other countries haha.
Apart from that, the movie I really liked recently is the Lobster - just the right dose of black humour for me.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Left home at 19 to live in a different country and would do it all over again!

Teach, Learn, Share

Could potentially teach some Polish - not sure if that's of any value to anyone but oh well... I'm sure everyone can appreciate Polish dumplings though so you might be in for a treat! Could also definitely help in practising conversational English. Or give (or rather take haha) a few skateboarding lessons?

What I Can Share with Hosts

Share some stories from here and there and would love to learn about my host's culture as well as teach about mine if anyone's interested!
