Overview
About Me
I'm the kind of person who always feels a niggling wanderlust, especially if I've been in the same place for a while. When opportunities arise, I am always hoping to travel, find interesting work, and make meaningful connections along the way. I moved to Korea in July of this year to embark on a year-long English teaching position at a high school in Cheongju. I love being outdoors, exploring, meeting people, trying food, tackling personal creative projects, and enjoying music and the company of others. Traveling for me is most exciting because of the delicious food there is to try, the unique experiences that contribute to your character and make you feel connected to the world, and meeting local people (or other travelers) that serve as a constant reminder that we are all relatable and anywhere can feel like home.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I gradated from university a little over a year ago and am still contemplating my future career. I love to meet locals who can give a unique perspective on their area and also for the sake of meeting interesting people and sharing life stories and experiences. People are what make life interesting, and I'm glad this site promotes sharing stories and knowledge and building those connections.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I went paragliding in Lauterbrunnen, Switzerland during my study abroad semester.
Hiked the Vatnajökull glacier in Iceland, going down into an ice crevasse.
I've gone on a full date only speaking my second language (Spanish in Panamá).
I went to an underground musical performance in La Habana, Cuba and it was a really unique time.
I hiked 30km of the Jirisan National Park range in South Korea with a couple of my friends who also teach in Korea.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you how to play tennis, make (homemade) pancakes, reach the top shelf (tall person joke), etc. I would love to pay for a meal (or cook one) in return for allowing me to stay over. I also sing a lot and can teach some phrases/words in English, Spanish, or Korean.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Interesting stories and company. I make really good pancakes! I have a very eclectic personality and would love to discuss tennis, environmental issues, give recommendations for those hoping to travel to Chicago, Panama, Copenhagen, or Korea!
