About Me

We're always in search of who we truly are. That situation applies to me with an exponent of 42. Which gives you a human being that's interested in many things but doesn't know what he should dedicate himself to. Doesn't change the fact that I'm always eager to learn new things and discover new places. I'm a very genuine down to earth guy, I think of myself as a social introvert. I really appreciate a night of demented drunk fun as I can also enjoy a moment of silence, comptemplation and relaxation.

Am I a nice guy? I'm Canadian.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The best way to experience a country is to have first hand contact with it's locals, which is something I learned with my first trip in Jordan. It's all about creating new relationships with people who can offer you so much regarding the place you're visiting weather it's to learn something new or have a good time in the local pubs!

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm open to many genres of music. I grew up listening to Linking Park, Rise Against, Billy Talent, Breaking Benjamin. I love the 80's and the 90's. I can wrap myself around some classical as I can get into some good old folklore.

Movies? Anything but musicals!

Book wise, I have a hard time getting myself to concentrate on one, but as soon as I get in the zone, I'll plunge into the experience. The last book I read would be Anansi Boys from author Neil Gaiman.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In Jordan, a friend and me were at Petra (yep, that place where they filmed an Indiana Jones movie) and the site was about to close. We went up a hill trail where there was a vendor selling cheap jewelry. We talked with him, sat down on the ledge of the rocks and he started playing the oud. All this while the sun was setting. A truly magical moment.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach french, english, canadian recipees, how to swear in french canadian and whatever comes out of a nice conversation around a bottle of red wine.

I want to learn whatever you have to teach me. It could be about astronomy, cooking, working in the sewers, anything you're passionate about!
