About Me

I have been traveling my entire life. I was born in Colorado and since then I have lived in: New Jersey, Louisiana, Texas, Germany, Oklahoma, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, South Carolina, California, Iraq, and other places in between. It can be exhausting being on the go all the time, but it helps to have life experience and I enjoy talking to people and hearing their stories.

I graduated December 2015 and since then I have been exploring North America and enjoying the beauty that there is to offer on this side of the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to continue to travel and meet up with other people who enjoy being out and about in this beautiful world.

Since I graduated I have been on the road and driven across the country twice in the past month.

It has been beautiful and exhausting at times but I will be wrapping up my travels soonish, and once I have settled in a place I will be able to host guests.

Music, Movies, and Books

Soul, Funk, Rap, Classical, Rock, Trip Hop... just about everything

Curtis Mayfield, Jimi Hendrix, Portishead, Queens of the Stoneage, Funkadelic, Marvin Gaye, Nina Simone...

I love comics, Spawn and Batman are my favorites. I love the X-Men Cartoon, hated the movies. I think Ben Affleck is a great Batman btw.

I love to read and love to learn. I recently finished The Prophet, The Alchemist, and 1984.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I joined the United States Marine Corps and served 4 years as a field radio operator with 2nd Battalion 8th Marines. I deployed twice and have had the experience to meet some great people and see some beautiful places along the way.

Teach, Learn, Share

I enjoy cooking and I recently learned how to make gumbo (Louisiana stlye of course) from my mom. My recipe isn't as good as hers, but I've never had leftovers so that has to count for something. I am willing to help anyone learn how to cook so just let me know! People can always come together through food and it is amazing what a good meal can do for the soul.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am a clean person and I usually leave a place cleaner than when I found it. I am generous with the things I have. I love to share a bottle of wine or something stronger with people around me. I also love to swap stories and experiences with people. There is a mountain of knowledge to be gained from everyday conversations
