About Me

My name is Károly, but my friends just simply call me Karl. I am a university student from Hungary, who loves travelling and meeting new people! Currently, I am participating in a work and travel program in a child camp in Wisconsin, USA. This is my first time here, and after many weeks of work, we are planning to travel around the States with my friends.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think the fantastic thing about couchsurfing, is that it brings the people together. This is why I like it, because I have the opportunity to meet, and make friends with local people, wherever I travel. Also, as a student I don't earn much money, so couchsurfing as a wallet-friendly opportunity is a favourable option for me.

As a beginner couchsurfer, I am curious about this whole thing, and when I arrive home, I am planning to be a host too!

Music, Movies, and Books

I like playing instruments, like drums and guitar. I even had some bands and concerts back in Hungary, before I came to the USA. As a "musician", my ears always opened to every kind of music, but my favourite music genre is Indie Folk.

I'm not really into movies, but I love books. My favourite author is Franz Kafka.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Okay... now I am sitting at the computer for almost one hour, but nothing comes to my mind :D

It must mean that I've done so many, that I just can't choose... :D

What I Can Share with Hosts

Hopefully I can share many memorable experiences with my future hosts. Also I can tell a lot about my travels and as a hungarian, about my country and its culture. I am a really open minded person, I love trying out new things, or just simply have a good chat with a coffee/beer.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, United States
