I moved to Austin, TX about a year ago. I have a degree in ceramics and enjoy spending time in my studio. I am an art teacher by trade but I am currently working in the KIPP charter school system as a math teacher. I love to ride bikes, swim and eat!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I love pop punk, surf rock and oldies. My favorite band has been Rilo Kiley for most of my grown life.

Movies: I'm a fan of most genres. I tend to enjoy movies made before the 90s the most. Some favorites are poltergeist, any molly ringwald, and the women (1939).

Books: Author of the moment is Mary Roach. I love the science and she finds the most entertaining bits of knowledge for her books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went on a cross country motorcycle trip in 2014. I was along for the ride from North Carolina to Montana and finished out the trip with a flight to Oakland, California. We only stayed in 1 hotel over the 2 weeks. All other nights we camped in sunflower, soybean and corn fields or stayed with friends.
