Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm interested mostly to meet new people. Also, I have met some very interesting people while traveling in the past, or who were traveling. I used to hitchike a bit back in the day, and would occassionally feed and host transiant kids when I lived in Halifax as a student. So, this is a lifestyle that I can appreciate.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm actually a big metal fan, which usually comes as a surprize to a lot of people. I really enjoy bands like Boris, Anaal Nathrakh, Pig Destroyer, Neurosis, and trashy american southern sludge metal. Right now I'm also listening to a lot of Symphony X. I'm very conscious about people's personal space, however, so you will never have to hear it!! ;)

Usually I don't watch a lot of movies, and I've lately become more of a news junkie than a book junkie. I think the last few things I read that I really enjoyed were Oryx and Crake, Lolita, American Psycho, Slaughterhouse 5, and some novella by Don DeLillo. Books I couldn't finish include Love in the time of Cholera, Filth, and Tropic of Cancer.
