Hi,
I am Katerina and I am from a small village in West Bohemia. I love sport activities and radioactivity, learning languages and being among people.

I´ve just finished master programme in Medical Physics at CTU in Prague and from September I will continue in my PhD studies . I am spending this summer, my last holiday, traveling across Europe.
Last summer, I'was working as a trainee at the University of Nottingham. During weekends I arranged trips across GB. I had my first experience with couchsurfing and all of them were amazing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think traveling it´s not only about places , it´s mainly about people. The country can´t be discovered without getting in touch with local people and their real lives. And this is what I want to be experienced with - live for a while like a local.

I am sorry that I am not a host now. I share my accommodation with other students. The true is that we do not have any couch. Our flat is very simple - just for student needs (bed, chair and table).
When I will have a couch, I will become a host :-)

Music, Movies, and Books

Recently, I´ve read The Girl On the Train and Brigitte Jones: Mad About The Boy. Both books are excellent and I like them. During reading Brigitte Jones I wasn´t able not to laugh even in tram.

Movies? I love czech tragicomedies and I am keen on sci-fi. I like analysis of physical features - real or not? (My boyfriend hates this my hobby but I can´t help I just can be quiet and think about it.)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I made a track alone from Sheffield to Castleton in Peak District, England just with a photo of map in my smartphone. I did not get lost :-)

Teach, Learn, Share

I like debating about any topic - from beetle saving to big bang theory.

My special knowledge includes how x-ray machines work or what´s the difference between CT and magnetic resonance and it would be pleasure for me to share it if someone asks.
