Overview
About Me
After graduating from college, I quickly realized that I didn't want to follow a traditional path in life. I eventually decided to travel to Peru to try ayahuasca. While I initially planned to spend a month at a center in Moyobamba, I ended up staying a total of 12 months.
My experiences with plant medicines helped me realize that what I want most is to understand how to be a truly joyful human being and help others do the same. It is clear to me that I cannot help others find joy if I am not joyful myself. I still suffer, so I know that I can't help relieve others of their suffering.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Communities like this give me hope that this world is moving in a harmonious direction. Rather than locking our doors and closing our blinds, why not open our homes to new friendships, new experiences, and feel the pleasure of sharing?
I enjoy meeting new people and learning about what makes them feel the most alive. If you're passionate about something, I'll listen. Let's share stories and passions.

Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to all kinds of music. I'm listening to a lot of Kendrick Lamar lately. I've also been exploring more world music.
I love documentaries like Planet Earth. Also a big fan of dramatic movies based on true stories. Also stupid comedies like Anchorman, though. Depends on my mood.
I've read a lot of spiritual/self-help books in the last few years and I think I've overdosed a bit. I'm interested in reading more books from authors like Tom Robbins.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I grew from a microscopic organism into a tiny human and then, with the help of my mom, entered the light of the world. I'm not sure how I did it. Not to brag, but I also managed to do so in about 6 hours. My mom was very pleased.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach English, Spanish, guitar, as well as some spells that can turn people into stone or turn wine into water (not as fun as water to wine, but works great for alcoholics!).
I want to learn how to fly. Not in an airplane. Also how to cook rice without making it soggy.
I'd love to share new experiences and stories.
