About Me

Hi everyone! This is Gus, 32 years old but full of life and eager of adventures.
My family and friends always told me I'm extroverted, so, I like to socialize and laugh more than anything.

Upon reaching this age I found a turning point. I came out as gay 2 years ago, so this time is full of new experiences, enjoying every moment and connecting with myself and other people on higher levels.

I have been a student, a friend, a son, a brother, introvert and insecure, extrovert and self confident, a traveller, a routine killer, open mind and more open every day, a joker and a shoulder, a listener and a talker. And have much more to be and learn, so I hope you can help me.

By the way, my mother tongue is spanish, so I’ll be your gay latino buddy… haha

Hobbies:
Movies
Books
Long talks
Numerology
Laughing and crying
Outdoor (FOR SURE) either mountain or beach

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Since I started traveling around I realized that meeting people makes the world seem smaller . I always lived in a small town , with my group of friends, my family , my routine , and so on .

And with this trip I found that there is much more to see , more to do and learn .

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I traveled some and I’ll keep doing it for a long term.

One story I love to tell.

Spent my 30th’s birthday on machu Picchu (yes I was having my middle age crisis. was on the closet, insecure of myself, had a bad year). The thing on that day was that once I got up in there felt the energy (believe me, you will feel it, I was skeptical like many) and started crying, like sobbing crying, the real deal. I was crying for everything, but at the same time I was releasing and giving space to all the good to come.

Anyway, once I was back to the hostel on Aguas Calientes, the recepcionist invited for a birthday drink and celebration. It was raining so strong with thunders and everything. After a drink and talking about life she asked me (from nowhere) if I cried up on the machu picchu, I looked at her and replayed that I did but why?

And then she told me that for some reason, every time a person cries on the top of the mountain on a special occasion, that night rains with thunder and super strong.

After that, I started crying again and feel so happy of my travel and my decisions that I made on that day.

And this trip was 2 years ago, when I decided to came out, love myself and live life fully

Teach, Learn, Share

I think that only I can try to teach Spanish. It is my mother tongue, and it is what i Know most. Or I believe so.

But for the rest, I can share my experiences and opinions. What I like, What I do not like. And if I am wrong about an idea, I would love to learn about it. So then, I will have more to share.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I will share laughs, my opinion, good meals, long talks, respect, friendship.
