About Me

Hey there Couchsurfing homies! I am a fun-loving, outdoorsy, spontaneous gal from Ontario with a passion for travel and meeting new people! A camp girl at heart, I have worked at many camps and outdoor centres across Canada and have a passion for reconnecting children and youth with the outdoor world, while furthering my connection to the natural environment. I am easy-going and up for adventure and I hope you are too! Looking forward to meeting up and making some lasting memories!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Going to new places and meeting new people has become one of my favourite and most fulfilling hobbies over the past few years. From what I have heard, CouchSurfing seems to be one of the best outlets for this hobby of mine to continue forth! In establishing new friendships and memories through CouchSurfing, I look forward to seeing and experiencing new places and building lasting partnerships for the years to come!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Though I have been lucky to have experienced so many moments that have filled my heart and soul, the most profound of these moments have taken place working at camp. One of the most rewarding of these experiences took place last year, after I returned home from my camp in BC. One of my leadership campers from the year before, 2014, had returned the next year, 2015, on staff and absolutely crushed it! It was so wonderful watching her grow and work so hard at providing at-risk children and youth with positive outdoor experiences. Upon returning home after a long summer, I received a letter from her explaining that I had been the reason she had returned to work at camp. It filled me with such happiness to know that for one person, my work really mattered. Although you don't receive this recognition often, it is an amazing reinforcement for your positive efforts when you do, and this reinforcement has encouraged me to continue my passion for working with children and youth in the outdoor world.

Teach, Learn, Share

"Follow your dreams, but let go of the outcomes. Adapt, flow, and alter course as life lobs unexpected surprises in our direction." -No Baggage, Clara Bensen

What I Can Share with Hosts

A positive attitude and a desire to learn new things, meet new people, and have great conversations. I am open to anything and ready for the next adventure, life is for living folks! I can also share my love of singing and playing the ukulele, camping and living in the outdoors, and connecting with the creative self through painting and visual art. Or as an avid tea drinker, sharing a good pot of tea!
