About Me
I am a recent graduate of Missouri State University and double majored in psychology and anthropology. I will be starting graduate school in the fall and I hope to eventually get my PhD in cognitive psychology! I have a strong passion for traveling and I hope to go to as many countries as possible while I'm still able to. I am the type of person that loves to see both the sights a place has to offer as well as learning the history and the culture behind the place I'm visiting. Everywhere I go my goal is to get a good cultural experience that is usually enjoyed only by the locals. I believe traveling is the best way to learn about the world and people of different nationalities, cultural backgrounds, and religions.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on Couchsurfing because I believe it offers the best cultural experience while traveling. Just from the few Couchsurfing experiences I have had, it really changed my trips for the better. I came to the realization that Couchsurfing is the best way to go because it gives you insight on what the locals like to do that tourists aren't aware of. It also opens you up to a multitude of new relationships and learning experiences! That is something you will never be able to get out of a hotel.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've been to Costa Rica to do independent research on primates for a month and have collected data on vocalizations of Alouatta palliata.
