Couchsurfing is a great alternative for visiting a new country in a cheap way and meet other surfers all over the world. To me it is funnier to be hosted by local people than sleep in an hostel. What a better way to discover a city by sharing our experiences ?

In September 2016, I made a road trip on the west coast of the USA during 2 weeks. With a friend we visited all the National Park we could on our road. It was a great experience where we meet a lot of kind people !
