About Me

Hello!

I’m Ieva, a solo traveler from Lithuania (even though I have been living in the Canadian North for nearly two years).

Other people describe me as a positive, easy going, and curious person. And I would agree with that.

I always try to be grateful for everything that comes to me. And I am interested and passionate about everything I do.

However, the highlight of travel for me is people. I love their kind hearts, open minds, and that they can always teach me something new.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love discovering places through the local eyes. Learn more about their culture and lifestyle. I also see Couchsurfing as a beautiful way to connect with people who are experiencing this life in a very similar way.

Interests

I am especially enthusiastic about everything that has anything to do with nature or outdoor activities. I love going hiking, camping, cycling, swimming or just go for a walk in the forest.

Even though I am outgoing and love to meet new people and cultures I really like to be on my own as well and have my freetime.

You will probably see me read a book, go on a long walk or just sit in nature listening to music.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am a huge fan of Haruki Murakami, Erich Maria Remarque and Richard Wagamese.

There are many films that quality for my favourites list, such as “Spirited Away”, “Seven Years in Tibet”, or “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind”.

Music on repeat:

- AnnenMayKantereit
- Jose Gonzalez
- Nick Cave

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

After half the year in the Canadian Rockies, I moved to the Yukon and spent the coldest winter. I also drove all the way long from Whitehorse (the capital of the Yukon) to Tuktoyaktuk (the furthest north someone can drive in Canada) and jumped into the Arctic Ocean. ⭐️

Teach, Learn, Share

I also can teach you how to play djembe.
