About Me

Hello, my name is Hannah and I am a 22 years old German student. I study Political Science, Sociology and Philosophy and I love to travel. I am a human rights activist and also I worked in sea turtle conservation.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to get to know the world, but I am a poor student from Germany and I want to explore the cities we go to with people who live there and learn something about the domestic culture. I made the experience that staying with locals gives you the best impression of a city that you can get!
The only thing I expect from my hosts is that I have a clean place to sleep and maybe get some advices what I should definitely see in the area :) Anything on top, like having a meal together or walking around town would be awesome, too!

Music, Movies, and Books

To decribe my taste of music is really hard because it really depends on my mood :)

At the moment, I am very much into feminist literature (Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Margarete Stokowski an others) but I also love to read fiction (Haruki Murakami is awesome!), philosophical texts, criminal novels and so much more! I just discovered that I also really like biographies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I worked in Costa Rica's Carribean area, patrolling the beach at night against poachers. We protect nesting females and their eggs. As well, I worked in a sea turtle rescue center in Costa Rica close to the border to Panama on the Pacific. That were the most impressive and amazing experiences I made in my life so far.

What I Can Share with Hosts

- my experiences working in Costa Rica or interesting talks and discussions in general
- I love to cook! And eat! But I'm able to share my food, so I could do that ;)
- language lessons in all the languages I am able to speak
