About Me

I'm José!
I was born in Lisbon, Portugal, place where I lived most of my life until I moved to the UK to the lovely Bristol city!
I like to travel and meet new people from all over the world, learn about their cultures and customs and make new friends a long the way.
I'm a man of many talents but juggling is not one of them.
I like to be outdoors and to go on adventures!
I tend to be very friendly but I'll let others be the judge.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've met someone that made join the community. It was (and still is) a great way to meet a country through local people or to share experiences with other fellow travellers :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I love all kinds of music (many favourites.. can't really chose one). Maybe if we hangout we can share playlists! Anyway, here's a tune from my country, hope you like it: Orelha negra - Parte de Mim
Movies: Again, loads of good ones..who can pick a favourite? Let's start with all of Quentin Tarantino's and Fight Club.
Books: Not a reader (shame). I used to read a lot while growing up but now my brain does not allow it and seeks culture elsewhere. I tried to read more recently but I kinda failed. A friend gave me 1984 from George Orwell, I read the first page and then had to take an aeroplane (then slept in the aeroplane), another gave me "The dice man", I think I went over at least 20 pages but again...other activities went in the way and it now serves as a nice paperweight in my night stand for many months.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I jumped out of an aeroplane (skydived)!
Note 1: it was 2 miles from the ground.
Note 2: I'm really scared of heights.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: programming and the basic guitar chords.
Learn: more speaking languages? Might come in handy.
Share: stories.
