My name is Cornelius, I am from Germany and am currently traveling in asia with my wife. I am currently finishing my masters in psychology. I am interested in psychology topics around personal development, finding happiness and mental health in general. I currently read a lot about meditation as I am enrolled in a 1 year meditation teachers training. In my free time I like working out at the gym or doing any sports outside. In the last years I played ultimate frisbee and went bouldering quite a lot, I have recently picked up padel tennis and I love it!
I love sitting in small cafes and just talking over a good cup of coffee!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love being around other people so I could not travel alone and stay in a hotel room by myself. On this trip I wanted to try out couchsurfing again, my last time was 4 years ago in Israel and I had a great host back then. I want to meet local people and get a different experience than the usual hotel or hostel experience, so I hope to spend some time with you if you would host us. It could be to talk a walk together and share some stories or talk about things we are both interested in. I would also like to cook something together or try local restaurants!

Music, Movies, and Books

I am currently not listening much to music, I like classical music in the background when I am reading. I usually have one non-fiction book and one novel simultaneously, so I can switch when I get bored of one of them. I also read a lot for my studies and my meditation teacher training.
The best movies? LOTR
Otherwise a lot of good things on Netflix, as a recent I liked MO.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teaching learning and sharing are all thightly woven together, the best way is to have long conversations free of judgement and filled with passion for the unknown. A good conversation is about two people working together to find out more and exchanging ideas, thoughts and facts with each other.
If you’re interested in neuroscience and psychology we can talk for hours about questions you might have or just share opinions. I would call myself a good listener and I enjoy talking about topics even if I do not have much knowledge about them. I believe I can make up for my lack of knowledge by asking good questions and being interested in learning something new!
