I just finished my masters degree in physics and did not look for a job yet. In my free time I volunteer as a troop leader of our local scouting group (Bund der Pfadfinderinnen und Pfadfinder / Association of girl and boy scouts), which means that I love to spend time outside in nature, hiking and camping.
With my friends I like to go out to bars or open air festivals, but I also like just staying at home cooking a good meal and having a nice conversation.
I do several kinds of sports: playing water polo, going jogging and historical medeaval sword fencing and I also like photography a lot.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I am travelling I want to meet people from the places that I go to. I think, if you only look at the tourist sights, you do not get to know the country in a meaningful way.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I took part in an exchange program with Japan in 2015. It was my most intense travel yet. The two weeks we spent there seemed to me more like two months. I met so many interesting and nice people in this beatiful country.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach a lot of things. From university level mathematics and physics to much more basic things: Almost anything that has to do with hiking and camping and outdoor stuff, I can show you how to cook some of my favourite meals or teach you songs that the German scouts sing at their camp fires.

I am always eager to learn new things and there is really not a lot that I cannot get excited about.
